National Bank of Tajikistan has increased a minimally required authorized capital of microcredit deposit-taking and microloan organizations.

Нацбанк Таджикистана увеличил минимально требуемый уставный капитал микродепозитных и микрозаемных организаций в четыре раза.
As Manager of Exchange Control of National Bank, Mirzo Mavlonov has informed, since September 1st, the authorized capital for microcredit deposit-taking organizations of the Republic has increased up to the amount of somoni, equivalent to 800 thousand dollars, and, a minimum size of the authorized capital, equivalent to 200 thousand dollars is established for microloan organizations since August 1st.
The growth of a quantity and the capital of credit organizations are observed.
As of on March 1st of a current year there are operating 13 banks, 6 credit unions, 1 non-bank financial organization and 116 microfinance organizations in the country. In comparison with January 1st, 2009 the number of microcredit organizations has increased by one unit, and with Joint Stock Company “Credit Union “Kafolat” into Joint Stock Company “Kafolatbonk” number of credit unions has decreased per unit. Number of non-bank organizations has not changed during this year, and the number of micro financial organizations has increased by 24 units.
